Facilities :

  The department of Physical Education covers an area of five acres located near the hostel premises. The department is headed by the Director of Physical Education Mrs.P.Nandhini M.P.Ed.,P.G.D.F.M.,P.G.D.Y.Ed.,

We have sufficient facilities in our campus for both field events and indoor games for the students to practice and to conduct the Inter-Collegiate tournaments, Intramural Sports and Coaching camps.

Events and Tournaments :
We have talent hunt among the first year students every year and the prominent players will be included in the college team. In order to provide an opportunity to exhibit their talents we organize Inter-Departmental and Intramural tournaments for all students named as ABLAZE- Sports day Celebrations

Activities for Students
In our College we have good teams in all disciplines. We provide uniforms and track suits and various other accessories for all the players who represent our college. Our annual record will reflect the teams strength and their position in our university. We also encourage girls to a great extent to participate in various sports programmes. We also encourage and recognize the students who attain individual honours in the way of representing district, state and country will be honoured with the Best Sports Person Award during our Annual Sports Day.

The students of our college have set up an impressive and consistent record of performance in almost all games and sports. They take part in the Inter-Collegiate, TamilNadu state, All India Inter-University tournaments and won many laurels. Students will be given exemptions in attendance while they represent the college in the tournaments and sports. During the tournaments our students have been exhibiting good discipline and co-operative spirit throughout.  

  Faculty :

• Director of Physical Education -Mrs.P.Nandhini M.P.Ed. ,P.G.D.F.M., P.G.D.Y.Ed., have been selected as a coach for Bharathiar University Women’s Handball team.she gave coaching to prepare them for All India InterUniversity Handball Women’s Tournament from 06.11.08 to 11.11.08 at Bharathiar University.
 
• She accompanied with them to participate in that tournament held at Shivaji University,Kollapur, Maharastra from 12.11.08 to 20.11.08.They played well up to fourth round.
 
• Director of Physical Education -Mrs.P.Nandhini has been appointed as a Team Manager cum Coach for All-India Interuniversity Women Weight Lifting and Power Lifting Tournament at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, AndhraPradesh from 17.02.09 to 24.02.09.

 

• Director of Physical Education - Mrs.P.Nandhini acted as a selection committee member for Bharathiar University Inter Collegiate women Kabaddi Tournament for the year 2009-2010 from 07.10.09 to 09.10.09 held at Sri Amman Arts ,Erode
 
• Director of Physical Education - Mrs.P.Nandhini have been selected as a coach for Bharathiar University Athletic team..She accompanied with them to participate in that tournament held at MadrasUniversity,Chennai from 25.12.09 to 05.01.2010.They got one Gold Medal and one silver medal.
